Effective December 31, 2003 GDC's DataComm Products
Will No Longer Be Manufactured - Only 23 Days Left!
The migration of the GDC's DataComm Family of products to the Managed High Density NEBS Level 3 Certified SpectraComm format is in it's final stage. GDC has kept the DataComm products in production far beyond their projected life cycle to allow you, our customers the opportunity to "back fill" empty DataComm card slots during the transition to the SpectraComm line.
It's been over three years since our initial announcement of this transition plan and we must now remove the entire DataComm product line from production. We will continue to service and repair the DataComm products and will continue to make every effort to smoothly transition you to SpectraComm products.
Good News!
Transition to SpectraComm has been extremely successful and the product line has expanded to include not only DSU/CSU's and modems but also:
- IP Routers for both FT1, T1, E1 and G.shdsl
- Ethernet Switches - 9 and 18 Port
- M1:3 Multiplexers
- Security Features including Steadfast and support for
RADIUS and TACACS+
- Robust Network Management

Soon you will receive formal announcements that will add the following NEBS Level 3 Certified products to the SpectraComm Line.
- SpectraComm ADT (Async Data Transfer)
This new Async terminal server card boasts from 16 to 32 ports at speeds up to 115,200 bps along with 8 alarm contact input ports and 2 alarm output ports. Uplinks are Ethernet 10/100 Base T. SNMP Network Management, GDC IronGate Security and support for TACACS+ authentication are included along with a craft interface.
- SpectraComm SDT (Sync Data Transfer)
This new Serial terminal server card (Async/Sync)supports up to 3 ports to speeds of 2.048 Mbps along with 8 alarm contact input ports and 2 alarm output ports. Uplinks are Ethernet 10/100 Base T. SNMP Network Management, GDC IronGate Security and support for TACACS+ authentication are included along with a craft interface.
New Family of Products for Enterprise Users!
GDC has developed and introduced the InnovX family of products for use in Enterprise applications. GDC's new InnovX family of products deliver high quality, security and flexible features typically found only in carrier products for use in Enterprise and non-NEBS environments. In most cases, InnovX uses common blades for installation in enclosures ranging from a single blade standalone to a high-density 16-blade rackmount enclosure. this flexible approach simplifies network deployment and dramatically reduces costs associated with network maintenance and sparing.
