 MiCTA Selects ShoreTel As An Endorsed National Telephony Equipment Vendor

Saginaw, MI (June 24, 2010) – MiCTA, a national non-profit technology consortium, has selected ShoreTel, Inc., as an endorsed national vendor for VoIP telephony equipment. "We are excited to welcome ShoreTel as a new vendor to the MiCTA community," says Tim von Hoff, Chief Operating Officer of MiCTA. "Our members are increasingly turning to Voice over IP to meet their communications needs. ShoreTel can assist our members in extending their networks to include desirable VoIP services.”

ShoreTel offers a wide range of IP telephony and unified communications equipment that are designed especially for use in the business and public sector environments. "Our ShoreTel agreement delivers a very attractive, flexible VoIP platform that our members can customize to meet all of their communications needs," says von Hoff. "We look forward to introducing ShoreTel to our membership and working with them through 2014."

ShoreTel was named as a MiCTA endorsed national vendor following a highly competitive bidding process, in which MiCTA invites vendors to propose technology-oriented and telecommunications services and solutions on behalf of its nationwide membership. Once the evaluation process has been completed, MiCTA members may purchase telecommunications and technology-oriented products and services at volume discounts using the MiCTA contract. Besides offering significant cost savings, this approach also eliminates the need for members to conduct their own competitive bidding processes.
