Our Major Collaborators

ACUTA / MiCTA Strategic Partnership
MiCTA and ACUTA have enjoyed a productive partnership since 2002 and MiCTA is a coporate sponsor for ACUTA for the 2006-2007 year.

MiCTA is a nonprofit association consisting of public and private nonprofit colleges and universities, K-12 systems, governmental and public sector organizations. In addition to its overall efforts to benefit members, MiCTA’s primary effort is to develop sources of high quality communications technology services to members at reduced costs. The organization accomplishes this through a comprehensive RFP process, through which it seeks favorable pricing on a broad range of telecommunications and network products and services.

This partnership serves both organizations by capitalizing on the strengths and expertise of their respective memberships. Both organizations will continue exhibiting at each other’s conferences, to exchange relevant information and to maintain a healthy dialog regarding telecommunications and related issues and programs. About ACUTA

ACUTA is our country’s premier association of Telecommunications Professionals in Higher Education. ACUTA, like MiCTA is a member driven organization. It is dedicated to the enhancement of teaching, learning, research, and public service and provides leadership in the application of telecommunications technology for higher education. ACUTA also actively monitors and reports on relevant legislative and regulatory topics and activities.

The MiCTA/ACUTA affiliation has been for many years and continues to be a very strategic and natural partnership for both organizations and their members. In addition to having similar and overlapping mission statements, each organization leverages the power of its membership to influence relevant issues and achieve common objectives like education, leadership and enhancement of the procurement process. Over the years, this partnership has also made a significant contribution to the steady increase in MiCTA membership.
